I help clients say no, but I struggle with the opposite problem. Here's how my business strength became my relationship liability, and what I'm learning.
First "Museums. I hate them. They bore me to death. Rosie has to go on her own, or I’ll drag my feet there, shut down, don’t talk, and just become an annoyance to the point where she’d rather not do it. 🏛️" You and my ex would get along great. But one time we stumbled into a museum of our beaten path I really wanted to check out. His saying, "well we're here, it wouldn't be fair to make you miss it" was an act of kindness that made my day. Maybe I'm easy.
Also, on clients. I'm not where I want to be revenue-wise yet, but I've turned down two clients now that I could tell weren't going to be a good fit and turn my passion into a job. No thanks!

Well done on saying no to 2 clients despite the desire to increase revenue… easier said than done, even when we know deep down it’s the right thing to do!
