Hi Jeremie - this is the first post I'm reading from you and it resonated more than I'd like to admit. I know the instinct to hide parts of yourself and I've done that not just from the world, but from my partner and other close people as well.

When someone else is struggling, my first instinct is usually compassion and support. But when it's my turn to be vulnerable, I still find myself pulling back, even though I am 100% sure that those people will be very supportive.

I know all of this but I still haven't figured out how to not hide to be honest. How did you and Rosie do that?

Healing from a Life of Trauma's avatar

I love this post, I relate… it took 49 yrs for me to be my true authentic self, yet I struggled in Miami bc I was doing things to belong or try to find community.. I thought I did.

You and Adrian helped me find a part of me that I shut away and encouraged me to me in yoga videos and you centered teaching around people that had trauma, and not conforming to what and who people think can do yoga.

I still struggle to teach bc I don’t have it all memorized, I go with the flow of the day and let my body speak to me.

I am in Amed ( district of Bali), Indonesia.. bought a yoga mat and went to the Amed Beach and did yoga, helped so much to be secluded and no crowds and just 2-3 people walking to beach… love this :)

Finding peace and tranquility and peace of mind.

At 56 yrs old still figuring out what am I going to do with my life… Just breathe!
