My Early Blogging Adventure and Its Lessons | Entrepreneur Chronicles #1

I’ve been thinking it could be interesting to document the journey of my current business, Warrior Flow School. I've always enjoyed reading about the origins of companies. Each story offers insights from the inevitable ups 📈 and downs 📉 of starting a business.
But before I dive into this chapter, there were many more or less failed attempts to create a business. Saying "failed attempts" might be an overstatement though, as I don't feel I actually tried properly 😅!
👀 I caught the "entrepreneurship bug" during my time at EEWORX, between 2014 and 2021. It really kicked in from 2014 to 2017 when the company was still small. Being part of its growth, having daily interactions with the founders, and having a front row seat to very insightful conversations was extremely informative. It also showed me that creating a business was something accessible and doable for normal people.
🖥️ In 2017, during a challenging spring, I needed a distraction to keep my mind busy. For some reason, I decided to learn how to build websites using WordPress. While learning, I discovered that people were making money blogging, so I thought I'd give it a shot 👊. I created a blog called "My Frenchy Life"—not the greatest name right 😶? I wrote about 10 posts before realizing blogging wasn't for me.
🧠 However, it wasn’t a waste of time. I learned valuable skills like website creation and management, logo design (even if it was a bad one), social media sharing and automating postings, blog monetization through ads or affiliate links and more. These skills are still useful to me today.
(PS: Don't go looking for the blog—it’s long dead and buried deep in the digital graveyard 🪦, but I still have all the files! They might come in handy if there’s ever a movie about my journey 😂 I'll share the v1 and v2 logos - I think I paid someone on Fiverr for the v2).
