Life Behind the Posts - December 2025
This one features bad weather, magic cards, and why I can't do Christmas at home anymore
Hey friends!
Happy New Year! I wish you all the best for this new year. The main thing I wish you is to be healthy… both mentally and physically. As I’m getting older growing up, I realize more and more that this is the most important thing, because when this is fine, the rest usually comes along 🙏
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being a subscriber to Beyond Ordinary. I’m grateful for all my free and paid subscribers ♥️
Fun fact I read yesterday: we are now closer to 2050 than we are to 2000 🤯
Every month, I’ll share a more personal look at what’s been going on: where we’ve been, what I’ve been working on, and a few things I’ve discovered or enjoyed along the way. ✨
This isn’t just a travel diary or work recap, it’s a chance to go deeper into the real-life moments behind the posts. Sometimes there are wins, sometimes challenges, but I always try to share something honest, useful, or thought-provoking from what I’ve experienced.
I’ll also include a few of my favorites from the month: books, podcasts, articles, or tools that stood out and might inspire you too.
This post is just for paid subscribers, thank you so much for your support! 💛
I’m keeping these monthly updates behind the paywall for two reasons. First, they’re a lot more personal, it’s a real look into my life, and having it just for paid subscribers makes it feel a bit more protected and private. Second, these take me quite a bit of time to put together. I want them to be complete, thoughtful, and fun, with stories, photos, and things I’ve enjoyed throughout the month. Your support helps me make the time to create something meaningful here. 🙏🏼
Note: This is going to be a little shorter than usual. I spent most of December at my parents in France, and when I’m there, I don’t do much and don’t take many pictures 😅
December 1st to December 8th: Thailand 🇹🇭
Our last week in Bangkok was fairly uneventful.
Both Rosie and I were feeling a little strange… not motivated to work much, waiting to go home for the holidays, waiting to be in our new apartment… we were in limbo… between phases… waiting for the next one to start.
We attended another Meetup on Saturday the 6th (with the same group of people we met in November). That was super nice.
I wasn’t in the mood to socialize going into it… but I enjoyed exploring some unknown areas of the city. We went to a few temples, a mosque, a church, and wandered in the narrow streets of Bangkok.
