What would you do if you had $100M in your bank account? 💰💰💰
I enjoy thought exercises like this because they make me reflect on my life without the pressure of financial constraints.
🧐 After careful consideration, I realized that not much would change, to be honest. I'd still work because I find fulfillment in what I do. I can't imagine myself without any projects or challenges. The excitement of working on new ventures regularly is something I deeply value.
🙏 I cherish my current lifestyle, having worked hard to create it, and I'm immensely grateful for it. With more financial means, I would prioritize investing in experiences, creating unforgettable memories. I might also increase my visits to family (perhaps twice a year). However, my fundamental preferences wouldn't change—I relish local street food and homestay accommodations, not the extravagant luxuries.
I would invest in a property to establish a home base. Currently, our belongings are in boxes at mine and Rosie's parents’ homes. While I'm content with this arrangement, I know it would bring Rosie joy to have a dedicated space.
Additionally, I would support my family members by paying off their mortgages and easing their financial burdens. I might even ask my mother if she'd like to retire (which, I doubt she'd refuse).
🏎️ A decade ago, my response would have revolved around acquiring material possessions like a Ferrari, a mansion with a pool, and more. However, recent years have taught me that material wealth doesn't equate to happiness or fulfillment. I realized that the more possessions we have, the more they end up owning us. Moreover, my desire for these items was primarily driven by a need to impress, something that no longer concerns me.
I am incredibly grateful for where I am in life at this moment. Five years ago, I couldn't have envisioned this reality.
🫵 What about you? How would you utilize a substantial bank account?
